As of Thursday, Skype’s video and audio calls can bolster up to 50 individuals. In a blog post, the organization said the new feature is accessible on the most recent version of Skype.
To oblige more clients, Skype has made a couple of changes to how calls will function.
“We added a notification to replace the ringing as the default, allowing every member of the group to receive a quick ping to join the call,” Skype said. “These notifications are a simple, unobtrusive way to get your calls and meetings (be it between family, friends, podcast guests, or co-workers) started.”
Skype said singular individuals can ring into the call session or, if the group is under 25 individuals, one can ring the whole group at once.
Microsoft tried the bigger call sessions a month ago with its Insider Preview group. Already, Skype’s video and audio calls bolstered just 25 clients at once.
